When a work opportunity arrives (in the form of a self-tape), I often find myself overwhelmed by my own expectations and prejudices filling up the room and materializing as a solid entity in the shape of a future where I appear strong, prosperous and triumphant.

Once the tape is delivered, I must tidy up the space and forget about it all. Forgetting it the hardest bit, but if the room remains full the other possible futures might not fit in.

Cada vez que hago una prueba, sobre todo las remotas, me siento abrumado por mis propias expectativas y prejuicios que inundan la habitación y se materializan en una entidad robusta que parece un futuro donde yo aparezco fuerte, próspero y triunfante.

Una vez enviada la grabación hay que desmontarlo todo y olvidarse. Es la parte más difícil, pero hay que insistir, no vaya ser que cuando llegue el futuro de verdad no encuentre un hueco para acomodarse.
